I thought I loved him,
but he had to break my heart for me to know what true love really is.
Wanting him is hard to forget,
loving him is hard to regret,
losing him is hard to accept,
but even with all the hurt I've felt,
letting go is the most painful yet.
There is always a TRUTH behind every "I just kidding",
a little EMOTION behind every "I don't care",
a little PAIN behind every "'I´m good",
a little I NEED YOU behind every "Leave me alone",
and a little LOVE behind every "'I hate the way you are".
The truth is, everyone is going to hurt you.
You just got to find the ones worth suffering for?
You always say you hate to see me hurt,
and you hate to see me cry.
So all those times that you hurt me,
did you close your eyes?
Sometimes we must get hurt in order to grow.
We must fail in order to know.
Sometimes our vision only clears after our eyes are washed away with tears.
You really know you love someone when all you want is for them to be happy,
even if that means that you are not a part of it.
So it's not gonna be easy.
It's gonna be really hard.
And we're gonna have to work at this every day,
but I want to do that, because I want you.
I want all of you, forever, you and me, every day.
But don't you take the easy way out and run because you are scared of something true & real.
